Part 1
The Blood God
"You should go," she said, they were standing in an open field, a helicopter slowly descending behind the people she was speaking to. On the ground there was a creature black as night torn in half by her own blade. The group kept an eye on her and they began to load into the helicopter, the leader of the group was the last to board.
"I will hunt you down," their leader said and then entered the helicopter. A moment later it set off to the sky and was out of sight. She sheathed her nodachi and headed for safer ground. This city was about to witness the battle of a century and she wanted front row seats. . .
She stood before a Dark Council of people, each one was obscured in shadow, each one had light behind them that made it impossible for her to identify them individually. She was weaponless, having been disarmed at the door by one of the guards. They had her seated so that she had no advantages at all dare she try to attack them. At the center of her chest was a single red dot and a rifleman stood opposite of her behind the Dark Council. The voice of a man came from the head of the table.
"You failed," he said.
"You can hardly say that was my fault," she replied.
"You failed to retain the territory this council gave you, you allowed another to take hold of the projects under your jurisdiction and now our top project has been destroyed," the man said in retort.
"Had I known about it from the start..."
"Had you not chosen to kill Hija Himura and allow Sazon Himura's death then you would have known about it. Instead you forced Keto Seroth into hiding, he will not even hail the Council."
"Regardless, by my actions, Hellsing was forced to that point and the rogue scientist worked into my hands. Alucard is dead and his body has been retrieved," her voice was full of anger.
There was a pause and a woman next to the man spoke, "be that as it may, you are not fit to lead the Blu Branch of Umbrella. We will see you resigned before you cause the entire collapse of the shelf of America."
She laughed at the statement and replied to the woman, "the shelf of America was destroyed long before I even emerged back into this world."
"Silence Ookami," said the man at the center, his eyes began to glow orange through the darkness and she knew he wasn't like the rest of them, "you will stand down from your position. I have work for you elsewhere. Have you ever heard of the Blood Brothers?"
"Alucard dispatched them last year, they were part of a blood cult."
"Correct, that blood cult resides in the homeland of your legend. Their blood has distinct ties to a blood god, something that interests us for Phase B of the N Project."
She narrowed her eyes, "Project N isn't finished then?"
"Hardly."
The legend of the Hellhound originated from Germany, specifically Berlin. Hundreds of years ago when man fought with sword and board she existed in her true form to terrorize the countryside with fire and death. She was treated like a god during her tenure and would spare villages for sacrifices. For hundreds of years she was feared until one man stood up to the legend and drove his sword through her heart. She was exiled from the Ookami and forced into the form of man losing all of her powers in the process but she existed as the perfect human being. Her legend didn't truly end, for the next couple hundred years she continued to terrorize the countryside with a band of bandits until the turn of the century.
She found humans truly interesting and watched them squabble about in war. Her favorite was Adolf Hitler, a conflicted man who was brilliant at brain washing a country to do his genocidal bidding. Millions died at his hands until unnatural forces grew tired of him. She watched as a monster emerged from London and slay the Dictator then return back to her master. It sickened her to know that other monsters walked the Earth like she did.
The Blood God and the Cult emerged during the late 70s when the Satanic sweep crossed the globe ushering in the ideals of Manson, LaVey and Rasputin. What they truly worshiped was one of the true princes of the Underworld, it was just unknown which. Having been a demon at one point in her life she understood that the higher powers of God and the Princes of Darkness had no interest with the mortal world. Their immortal powers set them high above the needs of ants, but their Angels and Demons all were interested in humans because humans were the perfect creatures. They were highly adaptable through science and other means, their minds were more advanced in free will, and they were extremely good at killing angels and demons, something that was hard for both creatures to do.
Natas Drol, as his anagram project name might imply, was harvested from the dried ancient blood of the prince Satan. Project N was the strongest thing Umbrella had while Alucard was one of the strongest the humans had, despite being a monster, Alucard was human in the eyes of higher powers. She witnessed many humans evolving before her eyes, she imagined in another ten years Amy Grace and Alice would be able to stand against even the likes of Alucard through natural evolution. Which was why she was tasked with the next step...
Blood dripped off the tip of her sword, the room behind her had ten dead men, they were torn asunder by her blade and left in piles of gore. It was a boring fight, she had stepped into the room and rendered the first persons head from his shoulders, she took one step left and killed two with a swing of her massive sword then rotated a full 360 degrees to unleash her vicious strike on three others easily bisecting them. The rest were easy, they were too busy running to fight, each one of them died quickly in mercy. She wasn't here for them, she was here for their research and to observe the gateway to the Blood God.
She entered the sacred chamber and witnessed a man standing across from her, he was bald, tattoos and scars covering all of his skin, his eyes were pure black and his teeth had been filed into sharp points. His nails had grown to disgusting lengths and each were sharpened. He was watching her, a sharp smile on his face as she entered his chamber.
"Welcome," he said. She raised her sword and dashed toward him driving the blade into his heart for a killing blow. His hand went up and grabbed her blade, his right hand went up and grabbed her by the neck, his nails dug into the sides of her neck cutting in deep. The smile didn't fade from his mouth, her blade grew increasingly hotter and then she let it go and dashed away from him. Her hand was burned and blood ran down from five puncture wounds on her neck, "are you confused? Fire is your thing, is it not? Yet you couldn't resist the damage I did to you with the fire of your own sword."
He began to slide the blade from his heart foot by foot until it clattered to the floor, "What is your name child?"
"Kasami Kiman," she replied.
"Do not lie to me," he said calmly.
"Naoko Honō Fokkusu," she replied and he shook his head at her.
"You wont tell me then?"
"I have no real name," she said with a static tone to her voice, she was planning on her next move to get her sword.
"Or have you forgotten it," he asked, "come child, come with me back to the Underworld. Become an Exile no longer."
He turned his back on her and raised his hand to the painted sigil of Lucifer on the wall behind him and began chanting in a two toned demonic voice. She saw her opening, she rushed to the right and rolled grabbing her sword and jumped forward planting both feet on the wall and pushed off hard over his head where she launched a vicious strike of concentrated pressure and fire down onto the top of his head and body. She landed and twisted from her crouch to a standing position and had her sword ready. His entire body was engulfed in fire and he collapsed dead. His voice continued around the room as the spirit left the body.
"I will have you... Kitsune."
She examined his body as the fire went out and pulled her phone speed dialing her contact, "it's done. The Blood God's vessel has been killed. His blood is ready to be extracted..."
