Contrary to the popular belief it liked to manufacture, the reach of Hellsing's intelligence extended much further than the shores of the British Isles. Integra had eyes and ears in hotspots all over the globe, largely reporting on potential threats to the Crown and Hellsing's own jurisdiction, but having this knowledge at her fingertips meant that she could offer a parting gift to one Anthony Redgrave before he struck out across the Atlantic Ocean; an actionable lead on a minor virology laboratory in the heart of the new Raccoon City, believed to be handling old Umbrella research materials under the nose of the authorities.
It wasn't much, but it would be a start.
From the outside, the building was unassuming in every respect. It backed up against an ordinary pharmacy, and had no facade of its own. It looked as good as abandoned, which Anthony supposed was the point, but that drew an attention of its own from those who knew where to look for what they sought. What Anthony sought was a means, any means, of dealing blows to Umbrella - all the better to hurry its collapse in the face of the enemies it had made.
Under the cover of the waxing nine o'clock darkness, Anthony approached the building's rear entrance. A simple metal door, and a padlocked shutter over the front; the latter was cut off its guide rails and peeled out of the way, and the former had its lock cut neatly cut out and thrown aside. Anthony crossed the threshold quickly, not knowing or overmuch caring what lay on the other side; when he looked about himself and found what looked to be an unoccupied storeroom, he took a moment to carefully peel the shutter back down into place. At a glance from the outside, nothing would look amiss.
He held his tongue, nearly held his breath for the sake of silence, and started into the building with quiet, deliberate steps and his head on a swivel. If anybody was here, he had to hope his entrance had gone unnoticed for now.
