TriCell E-journal log:: Project Divine Comedy
Feb. 19th 2001
Based off of the genetic samples we received from our agent who infiltrated Umbrella’s t-CU project. The genetic samples were from one of their more successful Human B.O.W.s of the project code named SPARDA. I don’t understand where they get their names from but I like to think myself of more refined intellect when it comes to names. Thus our project will be code named Divine Comedy, based off of the novel written by the 14th Century Poet. We’ll begin by reverse-engineering a virus from the samples we’ve gained as well as create two embryonic clones from Project SPARDA.

So far so good, we’ve managed to create a virus based off of the original subject’s samples we have. We’ve also received the combat data collected by our spy in Umbrella. We’ve begun manipulating the specific DNA sequences needed in order to begin the cloning process. We’re currently in the market for a volunteer egg donor. So far prospects are low, however I’m still holding out hope.

We’ve succeeded in finding a donor, a woman we’ve code named EVA. She’s also volunteered to be a surrogate mother to host the development of the clones. Before we do however need to edit the genome sequence within the samples, and then further work on exactly how we plan to go through with insemination. With my genius however we’ll figure out a way.

Apr. 1st 2001
Success! Because of my genius we were able to impregnate EVA via in vitro fertilization. We’ve also spliced the sperm and egg samples with the virus pre-fertilization to create a more stable embryo that won’t be rejected. Surprisingly however we were not expecting the anomaly that resulted in EVA being pregnant with twins. Given that we’ve purposefully altered their aging genomes we should be expecting healthy births within half the time.

The birth of two healthy male subjects was successful today. Unfortunately EVA died after having delivered subject 02. As much as I’m saddened by this, sacrifices must be made in order to pave the way for the future. The subjects, D.C. 01 and D.C. 02 here fourth named Vergil and Dante after the characters in the 14th century Poem Divine Comedy are in good health despite displaying an abnormality in the pigment of their hair which makes it look silver.

The subjects age 10 years for every two that passes. It’s astonishing that despite only being two years of age they have the mental and physical capacities of actual 10 year olds. Once they hit an optimum age we’ll be giving them a new gene altering drug which should shut off the accelerated aging. Currently no manifestations of the virus have been witnessed in either of the twins. Though I should note that the two have developed a form of sibling rivalry to a regard that they constantly fight or try to out do one another. We’ve also relocated into Tall Oaks, a small mountain town just north of Raccoon City.

Subjects have now aged to the ages of 19 respectfully and have been administered the drug to stop their accelerated aging, it should be noted that an unseen side effect of this was that they appear to now be aging monumentally slow. During puberty the pair began displaying manifestations of the virus. Both seem to have access durability and regenerative features and both subjects have control over Psychokinetic abilities however they’re used in variously different ways. Their rivalry has gotten to a deadly point where they must be kept separate at all times. Mostly to make sure they don’t end up killing one another. So far neither seem to display the same mutations or abilities that the combat Data from Umbrella’s t-CU 007. Either we’ve make a mistake, or we’ve made something better. Time will tell.

Extensive testing against other B.O.W.s has truly shown what these two are capable of. Their durability and regenerative levels are off the charts. However in this aspect Dante is clearly the better of the pair having developed near invincibility to a point where I believe the only real method of killing him would be either decapitation or complete bodily destruction. He also displays incredible strength and reflexes. He’s mastered channeling and infusing his Psychokinetic abilities into things such as his weapons. Vergil on the other hand shows the ability of enhanced speed and agility beyond even the capabilities of Excella’s current business partner Wesker. He’s also displayed the innate ability to create Psychokinetic constructs, specifically in the form of projectile swords. One unusual thing I will note however is that both subjects have developed an odd mental anomaly, apparently the intensity of the tests have lead them to develop a form of disassociation, they believe themselves to be demons and they also believe that the B.O.W.s they’ve been tested against are also demons. Apparently this isn’t a big enough issue to fix according to management but it is a pet-peeve to me.

Apr. 2005
Dante has managed to escape the facility and we’ve not yet been able to locate him. How and why this was possible I’m not sure but we’re deploying what assets we can to find out, we believe he’s somewhere in Raccoon City.

2006
God damn Umbrella. Not only did they release a god damned zombie apocalypse on the world but they also attacked the facility. I barely made it out alive, but I’ve been wounded. My last action while I still have some life left in me is to release Vergil into the world. I’m bleeding pretty heavily, my only hope is that Dante and Vergil make them pay for this…

Latest Update: 2015 by Marcella Gionne
We’ve still not been able to locate Vergil, however we’ve recollected Dante’s remains from an old Umbrella facility. It turns out they actually attempted to Clone Dante not once but twice and both have failed… relatively anyways. Nero and Donte as they like to call themselves display none of the active traits Dante once had. Except maybe the personality. Even still, one of ours is back in our possession and we can further are research with his remains.
